Publisher’s Note

Congratulations, 40 Under 40 Class of 2026!

When we (re)launched the 40 Under 40 Awards Breakfast through The Southern Colorado Business Forum & Digest in 2025, for us, it was never about a title or a plaque. It was about stewardship.

Southern Colorado’s long-term economic strength depends on the people willing to shoulder responsibility early; professionals who choose excellence over convenience, service over spotlight and measurable impact over personal recognition. From Douglas County to Trinidad, from Cañon City across the eastern plains to the Kansas border, this region is filled with young leaders quietly shaping its future.

The 40 Under 40 initiative was created to recognize those individuals across employment sectors: aerospace, defense, manufacturing, healthcare, education, real estate, finance, nonprofit leadership, public service and beyond. These are professionals building companies, strengthening institutions, mentoring teams, serving customers and investing back into their communities.

Too often, the daily discipline of leadership goes unnoticed. Yet it is precisely that discipline — the early mornings, the late nights, the commitment to integrity and performance — that sets the trajectory for regional growth. Employers have a responsibility not only to develop talent, but to affirm it. Recognition matters. Encouragement matters. Visibility matters.

The Class of 2026 represents more than individual accomplishment. It reflects a generation committed to Southern Colorado’s economic vitality, civic strength and long-term prosperity. These honorees are not waiting for the future; they are building it.

To each member of this year’s class: congratulations. Your work is seen and your contribution has made an impact. Your leadership is helping define what success looks like across Southern Colorado and across our state.

The future of this region is in capable hands.

Colorado Media Group

Special Thanks

The team at Colorado Media Group and The So. Colorado Business Forum & Digest would like to present a special “Thank you” to all members of this year’s 40 Under 40 Selection Committee. Each of these members spent a great deal of their time evaluating name-redacted professional profiles and a very strict rubric to help us select this year’s class. We are incredibly thankful to each member of this committee! We could not have done this as well as we did without you.
