VISITOR & CONVENTION BUREAU

Overview

CNT Readers’ Choice Awards Social Plan 2026

The purpose of this campaign is to encourage loyal followers, locals and past visitors to vote for Hilton Head Island as America's Favorite Island® in the Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards, while positioning the destination as a top vacation location in the country. This campaign will have a two prong approach of organic social posts by VisitHiltonHead and a paid campaign in partnership with Conde Naste.

Campaign dates: April 17 - June 30, 2026

Social Amplify

Tap into Condé Nast Traveler’s most engaged audience and drive Readers’ Choice Award voting through the Condé Nast Amplify social product. Using the Vote Now seal, Hilton Head creative, and the authority of CNT brand, we’ll extend the campaign into travelers’ social feeds, driving awareness and directing affluent audiences to the Readers’ Choice Awards voting page during key voting moments.

How It Works

● Post via dark Instagram/Facebook posts from the CNT brand handle for maximum engagement

● Handshaking Hilton Head Island’s Meta Account

● Driving to the RCA voting page and using the “Vote Now” seal

FUTURES BOARD OVERVIEW

Strategic Vision, our strategic partner that helped ensure our updated organizational 2027–2029 Strategic Plan will join us on island this week for our second Futures Board meeting. This effort stems off of our strategic planning efforts. The Futures Board, an advisory group created to help shape the organizations strategy as the tourism industry continues to evolve. The Futures Board is composed of 10 executives with expertise in the following areas:

The members met with the Chamber leadership team in September and are convening again this week. Futures Board member, Henry Harteeldt, Persident of Atmosphere Research Group, will provide a brief update on the Board’s efforts to date.
