Holes by Louis Sachar follows Stanley Yelnats as he is sent to Camp Green Lake, a desert camp where campers must dig holes every day. The camp’s warden secretly hopes to find a buried treasure tied to the area’s past.

As Stanley befriends Zero, another camper, they uncover the truth about the treasure, the camp’s dark history, and the Yelnats family curse—ultimately finding freedom and justice.
