first heard about the “Faces of” concept at a conference in Washington DC several years ago. At the same conference two years ago, held in New Orleans, I met a publisher from Fargo, North Dakota, who had created numerous “Faces” magazines in multiple cities.

The magazines they created help promote locally owned businesses by featuring a “Face” of a specific business category (such as “Face of Jewelry”). This publisher found that the publication was able to connect community members with local businesses in the area. “Faces” magazines exist in numerous markets around the country and are very well received wherever they exist. We love the idea of promoting community, and are excited to introduce the “Faces of” concept to SW Louisiana! We hope you enjoy this publication and take the opportunity to get to know some of the people behind our thriving business community. Over the last 30+ years, we have created many magazines including the Home Finder’s Guide, Design & Build, and others. I believe you will enjoy reading about your friends and neighbors in the ensuing pages. This publication is considered a “native advertising piece” in the publishing industry.
