As we turn the page on another busy and exciting spring season, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all that our Chamber and community have accomplished together these past few months.
Spring has been filled with connection, celebration, and growth. From networking events and ribbon cuttings to community gatherings, educational opportunities, and special celebrations, this season has been a powerful reminder of what can happen when local businesses, leaders, and neighbors come together with a shared purpose.
This spring, we proudly celebrated unforgettable moments through events like our Denim & Diamonds Gala, where our community came together for an evening of fun, fellowship, and support, as well as the vibrant Three Rivers Arts Fest, which showcased the creativity, talent, and spirit that make our community so unique. We also created new opportunities for connection through our Ladies Bunco Nights, offering a fun and welcoming space to build relationships and strengthen community ties.
At the same time, we remained committed to investing in the future through the continued growth of our JD Forward Leadership program and Stingers & Strategies initiative. These programs continue to strengthen leadership development, inspire collaboration, and create meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth across our community.
We’ve also welcomed new members, celebrated the success of local businesses, and hosted impactful events like our Women in Business Luncheon—all of which have played an important role in strengthening the relationships that make our Chamber so special.
None of this would be possible without the continued support of our members, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. Your enthusiasm, generosity, and dedication are what keep our mission moving forward.
As we head into summer, we do so with gratitude for all we’ve shared this spring and excitement for what’s still to come. Thank you for being part of this journey with us—we can’t wait to continue building, celebrating, and growing together.

for a Luau themed Bunco night! Admission covers prize money awarded. Attendees are encouraged to dress to fit the theme and bring a snack/appetizer to share (although not required). Emails will be sent out to each participant prior to the event with other event details!

Annual Women in Business Luncheon
Our Women in Business Luncheon was a wonderful afternoon of connection, inspiration, and community as local women came together to network, share ideas, and celebrate the impact of women in our business community. Attendees enjoyed meaningful conversations, valuable insights, and the opportunity to strengthen relationships that support growth both personally and professionally. We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this event such a success.
Those honored at our Women in Business Luncheon include Jayme Crosby of the City of Hazlehurst as Outstanding Woman of the Year; Kathy Smith of the Bank of Hazlehurst as Administrative Professional of the Year and Riley Kirby of Jeff Davis High School as this year’s Women in Business Scholarship Recipient.

JD Forward Applications Are Now Open!
Are you ready to take the next step in leadership and make an even greater impact in Jeff Davis County?
JD Forward is the premier adult leadership development program in Jeff Davis County. Since its creation in 2018, this program has equipped and inspired more than 30 local leaders—and now, the next class is forming.
Designed to develop strong, informed, and connected leaders, JD Forward offers participants the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while gaining valuable insight into the people, businesses, and systems that shape our community.
Interested in applying? Here’s what you need to know: Applicants must be associated with an active Chamber member business or organization
Supervisor support is required
Attendance at all sessions is mandatory (up to two absences are permitted)
Application deadline: June 12
