The Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Chamber is a non-profit, member-driven organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business owners, civic leaders, and engaged citizens. We work in close partnership with the Board of Tourism, the Development Authority, the Community Foundation, city and county leadership, and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce to support a thriving local economy and an exceptional quality of life.
We connect the dots between people, ideas, and opportunities because we believe that when we work together, we all rise together.

Dear Members,
In the 1910s, our local newspaper ran articles about having a chamber of commerce. The Hazlehurst News said businesses need something to help guide and advocate for them Our community’s first chamber of commerce was created shortly thereafter
Fast forward to 1965, and the chamber as we know it today was created Since then, we have been the Hazlehurst area’s most prominent and strongest advocate for businesses and our community. We unite all sectors of our business community, bring businesses and people together, and advocate on our members’ behalf. Our entire Board, numerous volunteers, and staff work to ensure that Jeff Davis County is truly “A Place to Call Home” for years to come
As a former educator, I took to heart the expression, “Kids don’t learn from people they don’t like.” I know this applies to you all as well - people don’t do business with people they don’t like or even people they don’t know. The chamber is the premier place in our community to network with other business and community leaders. Furthermore, our commitment to growing our community, bringing together elected officials and community leaders, and supporting the future of Jeff Davis County is essential to your business and organization’s survival
