ARCHITECTURE ANALYSIS: LUDWIG MIES VAN DER ROHE CROWN HALL - IIT CAMPUS - CHICAGO
The studio lectures focus on the analysis of modern buildings and urban spaces. The goal of the Studio is the learning of the architectural design fundamentals, of the theoretical, analytical, historical and instrumental knowledge that allows getting to the design synthesis through the definition of architectural form, and to its representation through the drawing tool, expressive mode of the discipline. Learning to judge and analyze the quality of spaces and volumes in the different phases of both historical-critical and spatial-compositional analysis, from conception to its formal definition, through the study of the relationship with the site, urban history, functions, construction techniques and chosen materials.
