Haverford’s employer connections, alumni network, easy-to-access resources, and hands-on guidance help our students and alumni discover and make their next moves. The Center for Career and Professional Advising (CCPA) helps you explore and prepare for meaningful jobs, careers, and postgraduate experiences. Last year, the CCPA provided students with a range of opportunities:

The CCPA, in Stokes Hall, helps you explore and prepare for meaningful careers and postgraduate experiences such as graduate school and fellowships. With support from the CCPA, you can learn about your unique fit for various paths, hone your resume and cover letter skills, prepare for interviews, research career paths, connect with employers, and secure internships and postgraduate opportunities.

CAMPUS RECRUITING

Employers and alumni from various fields eagerly share their experiences, stories, and insights with students. Connect with them through online resources such as Handshake and Haverford Connect, as well as recruiting events such as campus interviews, career fairs, career treks, coffee chats, and meet-ups.

EXPERIENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES

Internships benefit Fords by encouraging them to explore different career paths, foster connections with employers, and reality test career choices. Most critically, internships build skills and networks that propel students to postgraduation success. The CCPA can support you in securing internships and research positions in various industries.

Enhance your technical, analytical, presentation, and communication skills through CCPA’s online resources and workshops.

Handshake serves as the central online career hub for Haverford students. Apply for internships or jobs, share your resumes with employers, and sign up for oncampus interviews, career events, and appointments with career, fellowship, and graduate/professional school advisors.

Thousands of Haverford alumni are eager to help you make your next move. Through Haverford Connect, our alumni directory and professional networking platform, 4,800+ alumni have volunteered to offer career support, advice, and guidance. Through the system, you can:

Class of 2024

Members of the Class of 2024 were surveyed at graduation and over the course of the following six months. These sources confirmed the postgraduation plans for 292 of the 328 graduates, representing an 89% knowledge rate as of 12/31/24. Data in this report are based on information from these 292 graduates.

» 83% of those working responded that their employment path was mostly or directly relevant to their career interests.

Total percentage exceeds 100% as students selecting more than one option are counted twice.

Ivan Quezada Taveras ‘22

Major: Neuroscience

Post-grad plans: Elena began a twoyear pre-doctoral fellowship at Emory University’s School of Medicine. Her fellowship is in educational sciences, and she will be working at the Marcus Autism Center. Her role has two main parts: working as a teaching assistant at the Louise and Brett Samsky Preschool and conducting research in education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The preschool operates as a living research lab with an inclusive classroom setting.

Major: Political Science

Post-grad plans: Austin, a licensed FIFA agent, is working to strengthen the soccer connection between the U.S. and Europe. He is the director, USA, at the Belgian-based agency Cherry Sports, where he helps established and overlooked players to secure opportunities in Major League Soccer, the United Soccer League, and other leagues worldwide. Beginning in the fall, Austin will balance his work with pursuing his master’s in sports management at Columbia University.

Post-grad plans: Devin is an investment banking analyst at RBC Capital Markets in New York. “Haverford’s liberal arts education certainly helped me think more critically and approach challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset— two things that I know will be useful throughout my career,” said Devin. “Additionally, having taken courses across various departments, I believe that the skills I’ve developed through reading and writing in all different contexts will prove incredibly helpful as well.”

Major: Independent Public Health

Post-grad plans: Michela is pursuing a career at the intersection of sports and community. She is currently a fellow with BSE Global’s human resources department. The New Yorkbased company owns and operates professional basketball teams, including the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty, as well as the Barclays Center arena. Looking ahead, Michela hopes to land a full-time job in sports while continuing to build experience and connections in the industry.
