This month, we meet up with the women behind Color Wave Walls, a mural festival planned for November of this year. The first of its kind in Polk County, this festival will bring in artists from all over the world to paint murals around Lakeland. Also in July, we head over to Lakeland to try out Vampire Penguin’s famous shaved snow desserts. They aren’t just gorgeous to look at, they’re delicious! Over in Winter Haven, we meet the young woman who created Kokomo’s Cafe, Downtown Winter Haven’s newest lunch spot. They offer great sandwiches, soup, salads, wine, and coffee drinks. We hope you try both of these businesses.
