In practical terms, he points to criteria that buyers increasingly treat as nonnegotiable. Walkability—once a secondary consideration in Houston—has become a more common priority for buyers who want access to downtown amenities. Lock-and-leave living has also gained weight, appealing to buyers who travel frequently, maintain multiple properties, or prefer a residence that can be secured and managed with minimal oversight.
