Welcome to the Harrogate Music Fes�val Highlights Guide This summer, we invite you on an extraordinary journey through music, art, and adventure. The Harrogate Music Festival presents a breathtaking lineup, blending worldclass performances with unique, immersive experiences.

Young Musician 1: Trio Concept Friday 27th June | 11am | Wesley Chapel A young, passionate piano trio from Italy performs pieces by Bloch, Ravel and Mendelssohn. "An ensemble of mature musicians, able to deeply relate with the score, regardless of the composer or period" - Circuito Musica

Oddsocks: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

A true highlight of this season is Gaia by renowned artist Luke Jerram - a magnificent installation that brings Earth itself to life in a stunning visual spectacle. Beneath the surface, prepare for an unforgettable series of performances with our Gigs at Gaia series. From orchestral performances to concerts by candlelight, brilliant brass to organ recitals, there is a host of performances set to surprise and delight. We launch the season with the inimitable Mike Lovatt’s Brass Pack at the Royal Hall, Festival favourites Oddsocks returns to town with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and we continue to proudly showcase the next generation of talent in our Young Musicians Series offering a platform for rising stars to shine. More artists will be announced in the coming weeks, so pop the dates in your diary and get ready for a brilliant summer of music!

Mike Lova�’s Brass Pack Thursday 26th June | 7.30pm Royal Hall The trumpet virtuoso returns with Brass Hits Hollywood: songs and music from hit movies and musical films, featuring Anna Jane Casey on vocals.

Tuesday 1st July & Wednesday 2nd July | 7.30pm | RHS Harlow Carr A high-energy, feel-good, family version of Shakespeare’s most magical comedy. "Outrageously funny, a joy, with neatly engineered slaps�ck" - No�ngham Post

Young Musician 2: Charlo�e Spruit Friday 4th July | 11am Wesley Chapel Chosen as a Classic FM Rising Star of 2024, Charlo�e performs Beethoven and Schumann Violin Sonatas. "Convincingly establishing herself as one of the most promising young talents" - Het Kersjes Fonds

Gigs at Gaia: Orchestra For The Earth Friday 4th July | 7.30pm | St Wilfrid's Church World-class music connec�ng people with the natural world with a programme inspired by nature. "What a concert! Young Musician 3: Jali Bakary Konteh Saturday 5th July | 11am St Wilfrid's Church The latest member of a legendary lineage of West African griots, Jali Bakary Konteh is a London-based kora master, carrying forward Gambia’s rich kora tradi�on and adding his own innova�ons along the way. “An excep�onal purveyor of the Gambian tradi�on” Afropop Worldwide

Gigs at Gaia: Ahmed Dickinson Sunday 6th July | 5pm St Wilfrid's Church One of the finest exponents of the Cuban classical guitar performs music inspired by the Earth. “A true pioneer.” – Classic FM Magazine

Gigs at Gaia: Concert by Candlelight: Marian Consort Sunday 6th July | 8pm | St Wilfrid's Church Our Shared Planet explores all things earthy and earthly, featuring Spanish songs from the late Renaissance alongside atmospheric new commissions. Gigs at Gaia: Anthony Gray: Interstellar Monday 7th July | 8pm | St Wilfrid's Church Hans Zimmer’s epic score for Interstellar — Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi masterpiece— soars to life amongst this awe-inspiring organ recital. "Interstellar shows the wonder of worlds beyond" - Time Magazine
