After being referred to the center by another Kairos engaged company, this local business arrived with a solid framework and a drive for excellence.They meet weekly with the Center's Director, Ms Tate, to focus on strategic growth and resource mapping

Philippians 3 operates a high-end boutique that provides no-cost professional wardrobes to individuals in transition By offering a curated shopping experience rather than a standard handout, they help neighbors feel empowered as they re-enter the workforce
The ministry serves a diverse group of clients: Re-entry Citizens: Supporting those returning from prison or rehabilitation
Survivors of DomesticViolence: Providing a fresh start and renewed confidence.
Job Seekers: Offering up to two weeks of professional clothing to remove the financial barriers to employment.
A HolisticTransformation
More than just a clothing closet, Philippians 3 focuses on the "inside-out" transformation. Alongside a professional wardrobe, clients receive mentoring and counseling to ensure they are mentally and spiritually prepared for their new careers This holistic approach ensures that once a client secures a job, they have the confidence and the resources to keep it.

We often say that Help Hub are the "front door" to assistance, but sometimes that door opens through the watchful eyes of a kind neighbor
Recently, a concerned resident called us about their 74-year-old neighbor whose hot water heater had broken On a fixed income and without transportation, she had been taking cold showers for over two weeks.
A Rapid Response
Phone Intake: We conducted her application by phone to overcome her lack of transportation Community Support: Her neighbors assisted by sending in the necessary documentation to finalize her request
Swift Delivery: Within 24 hours, a new hot water heater—fully funded by Help Hub—was delivered to her door
Just inTime
The story came full circle when a volunteer from the NHC Senior Resource Center offered his expertise to install the unit at no cost.
Thanks to this swift collaboration between neighbors, nonprofits, and volunteers, our neighbor had hot water restored just before an impending ice storm arrived
This is the power of the Harrelson Center campus where a simple phone call can mobilize an entire network of support

Dr. K. Ryan Wennerlind, Director for Comprehensive Transition Postsecondary Program at UNCW will speak about the Inclusive Futures Program (IFP), a 2-year non-degree undergrad program for students with intellectual disabilities. IFP helps students develop independent living skills & explore career interests through internships & courses.
Family-to-family is a free, 8-week educational program designed for family members, significant others, and friends of individuals living with mental health conditions.
