Housing Navigation Update
Our Housing Navigator, Nikki, is now working with 20 households in NHC to find or maintain safe and secure housing. We welcome referrals from HC Partners for individuals/families who are currently housed (renters or homeowners), not previously enrolled in HOP, and living in NHC with current housing potentially unsustainable.

Medicaid Uncertainty & Our Clients
In Spring 2022, NC launched Healthy Opportunities Pilot (HOP), offering non-medical support to high-risk Medicaid recipients. As a Health Services Organization, Help Hub has been assisting HOP clients with housing, utilities, and transportation.
As of July 1, HOP was indefinitely suspended NC State Legislature did not include HOP in the 2026 Budget Proposal, stopping all referrals. With the official budget not finalized, the future of the program is uncertain.
