Love may be in the air, but in the property market it’s commitment that counts The year has kicked off with buyers showing clear intent across Ponsonby and surrounding suburbs, with open homes well attended and quality properties continuing to draw attention

Ponsonby recorded five sales last month, with a median price of $2 1m and homes spending an average of 53 days on the market Grey Lynn and Point Chevalier remained popular with buyers, posting 13 and 9 sales respectively, and some of the quickest turnaround times at 37–44 days, showing strong demand where value and location align

Premium suburbs saw fewer transactions, but when homes came to market, buyers were ready to commit Westmere and Freemans Bay achieved standout top-end sales of $4 02m and $7 4m, while St Mary’s Bay’s three sales reached a median of $2 18m, reflecting continued interest in tightly held locations

As we move further into the year, well-presented homes are still the ones stealing hearts and attracting confident offers In other words, when the match is right, buyers don’t hesitate - making now a smart time to talk strategy if you ’ re considering your next move
