After nearly 40 years of beloved tradition, the Hanover Dutch Festival will become the Inaugural Snack Town Street Fair this fall.
as something that it is not, we decided to rebrand it to fit what it has always been at its core: a street fair.
Made possible by the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce and Utz Quality Foods, this event has transitioned from a celebration of Hanover’s Pennsylvania Dutch heritage to a day-long street fair filled with craft vendors, delicious street foods, and exciting entertainment. Making this year extra special, our community celebrates the 100year anniversary of Utz. The Utz team has plenty of surprises planned during the Snack Town Street Fair to celebrate 100 years with Street Fair attendees! The 2021 event will be presented by Member’s 1st FCU.
Saturday, September 18, 2021 will be a day full of all your favorites—handmade crafts, local goods, street food, kid-friendly activities, exciting entertainment—and a few new items that will surely become favorites as well.
Wanting to preserve the beloved aspects of the Hanover Dutch Festival while also understanding how the event has transformed over the years, the festival organizers have felt the need for a new name for quite some time. Our event has consistently received criticism for having very little Pennsylvania Dutch influence in recent years. And indeed, we struggled to find vendors and entertainment that fit the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch description. So instead of promoting the event
In addition to the new name, the Snack Town Street Fair will also take place in a new season—fall! When we rescheduled last year’s event due to COVID-19 (which was later cancelled), we received overwhelming feedback to keep the fall date. Not only will this new timeline allow our vendors and guests to be more comfortable, it will also inspire a plethora of seasonal activities and treats to become part of the festival. We are so excited to welcome you to this transformed event that we know you will love as much, if not more, than the Hanover Dutch Festival. continued on page 3...

Snack Town Brewfest will also take place in the fall--but only for 2021. We will hold this year’s event on October 30. While we want nothing more than to spend our usual summer Saturday with you June, we want to give COVID ample time to die down. We are shooting for the fall in hopes that things will be a lot safer by then. We are *thrilled* to announce that the Amish Outlaws will be back with us again for 2021! We love this band and are so excited to have them join us in October. We want to give major thanks to our presenting sponsors, Utz Quality Foods and Snyder’s of Hanover for their continued support of this event. Without them, we would not be able to have this fantastic event you all love so much. And finally, ticket sales will start THIS MONTH on St. Patrick's Day--Wednesday, March 17, 2021! Chamber Announces Month-Long Virtual Business Awards Celebration Our 2020 business awards were cancelled in November, but that won’t stop us from recognizing our awesome members! In lieu of an in-person event, we will be celebrating the whole month of March by recognizing member anniversaries, educators of the year, and our four large awards: Her Traditions Women's Enrichment Award, Small Business of The Year, Entrepreneur of The Year, and Positive Action Award. Do you know a women’s advocate that deserves recognition? Is there an awesome small business owner working hard to grow their business? Has an energetic entrepreneur inspired you? Have you been impacted by an amazing program? Nominations for our four large awards will be accepted until March 1, 2021. Nomination forms can be found on our website at www.hanoverchamber.com/business-awards. Starting the first week in March, we will kick off our virtual event by celebrating member anniversaries. We will then celebrate our educators of the year from March 15-19. To wrap up the month, we will announce our four big award winners.

Chamber Thanks Miscreation Brewing Company for Dedication to Downtown The Chamber would like to acknowledge and thank Miscreation Brewing Company for nearly six years of dedication to downtown Hanover. Miscreation opened in 2015 and quickly became established as an anchor business downtown. The decision to start a business at 6 Center Square was an intentional one; despite many other possible locations, Miscreation believed in the future of Downtown Hanover, which at that time, was still in the early stages of revitalization. Miscreation’s choice to open their business in Center Square sparked a wave of new businesses to follow suit, and now, we are fortunate to have a vibrant downtown filled with shops, restaurants, and of course, breweries. Chamber President Gary Laird remembers their opening day well, “I remember being at their ribbon cutting and feeling excited not only for the grand opening of their business, but what it could mean for Downtown Hanover.” Known for their great beer, tasty food options, and lively entertainment, Miscreation was one of the very first craft breweries to open in Hanover. Later joined by several others, Miscreation stands out as an advocate for downtown through
their participation in Main Street Hanover events like Christmas Tree Wars, Sip & Stroll, and countless other fundraisers. Over their nearly six years of operation, Miscreation consistently improved their business in innovative and creative ways, including adding a catering business, a mug club, bingo nights, and much, much more. We commend Miscreation’s owners and management team on their creativity and ability to think on their feet, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The last few years have been some of the best our downtown has seen in a very long time, and we undoubtedly have Miscreation to thank for that. So many special memories were made at 6 Center Square. Chamber President Gary Laird speaks for many of us in saying, “We will miss the beer, the food, and the entertainment, but most of all, we will miss the Miscreation Family.” Thank you to the Miscreation team for all that you did for the community. York County Charter Bus Company Forced to Pivot During Pandemic Experiences Nationwide Growth of Disinfectant Products and Services Bailey Coach is pleased to announce the launch of its new brand, “The Bailey Family of Companies.” For over 88 years, the Bailey Family has concentrated on travel and transportation services, but due to the detrimental effects COVID-19 had on the transportation business, father and daughter duo, Courtney and John Bailey, diversified the business with the expansion of two new ventures in the hopes of keeping their staff gainfully employed. Bailey Automotive Services is a vehicle maintenance shop, and Bailey’s Zero Hazard is a disinfecting service and Master Distributor of sanitizing solution and equipment. Since Bailey’s business venture beginnings in 1933, each Bailey generation has worked hard to ensure its employees are treated like family. In the midst of the pandemic, Bailey Coach did what it always has, and made changes to its business model to ensure it could continue to take care of its team members.
In May, Kristy Fasano joined the company as one of the owners of Bailey’s Zero Hazard. The majority women owned company now operates 24 hours a day and treats more than 3.2 million square feet of space per week in businesses, municipal offices, manufacturing plants, defense operations, auto dealers and transportation fleets within a two-hour radius of York. After a successful first few months of servicing its community, Bailey’s Zero Hazard began distributing specialty fogging equipment and solution across the nation and are now being used in 17 states. The Bailey’s did not stop with Bailey’s Zero Hazard. By utilizing their existing garage space, they put their office and mechanical staff to work, and are now offering PA state inspections and emissions, vehicle maintenance, and repair services on any size vehicle through their newly established company, Bailey Automotive Services.
Bailey Coach has been sanitizing its massive fleet with a non-toxic solution via fogging method since 2017 and when the pandemic hit, they had an idea. With the transportation industry shut down, the Bailey’s began to offer the same disinfecting services to community businesses, families, and friends. This new opportunity created jobs for staff who had been laid off for a short time due to the pandemic.
With a pandemic and a pivot, Bailey Family of Companies was born. What was once one company is now three: Bailey Coach, Bailey’s Zero Hazard, and Bailey Automotive.

BECKER LAW GROUP WELCOMES KALINOSKI The Becker Law Group is pleased to announce that Robert D. Kalinoski has joined the firm in an “Of Counsel” capacity. Kalinoski's ability to advise business as well as individual clients was forged both in private practice as well as inside two of the nation's larger companies. He began his career with a highly regarded Pittsburgh firm and subsequently served as in-house counsel to Allegheny International in Pittsburgh and to PHH Corporation in Hunt Valley for a decade before opening his own firm in 1990. A former Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association's Business Law Section and the founder as well as Chairman of the Maryland Business and Technology Coalition, he is active and well-known in the legal and business communities. He was elected a member of the exclusive Maryland Bar Foundation in 2000. HANOVER AREA YMCA SELECTS NEW CEO The Hanover Area YMCA is proud to announce the selection of Cam’ela (Cami) Bisch as their new Chief Executive Officer. Bisch joined the team on January 18, 2021 and brings with her over 15 years of experience within the YMCA organization. Bisch is an experienced and passionate leader with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. She is skilled in nonprofit organizations, budgeting, coaching, event management, fundraising, and volunteer management and is a strong business development professional.
Most recently, she served as Executive Director at various branches with the Gateway Region YMCA in St. Louis, Missouri and has assumed leadership positions on several committees within the association, for Y-USA, and in the communities she has served. In addition to committee work, Bisch was most passionate about leading the association’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Global Committee initiatives. STOCK AND LEADER, LLP ELECTS HYNES AS PARTNER Stock and Leader, LLP is pleased to announce the election of Attorney Kate E. Hynes as a partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2021. Hynes is a member of the firm’s Business and Real Estate Practice Groups focusing on business transactions, contract negotiations, leases, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, commercial real estate and finance. Outside of the office, Hynes serves as a Board Member for the York Business Improvement District Authority and United Way of York County. BARLEY SNYDER ANNOUNCES 2021 LEADERSHIP CHANGES Barley Snyder has announced a number of changes to some of its internal governance committees. On the firm’s management committee, which is responsible for leadership of the firm and achievement of its longrange goals, partner Donald Geiter was reelected to his second two-year term on the committee, and partner Jennifer Craighead Carey was named to a two-year term on the committee, joining partners Salvatore Anastasi and Paul Minnich and managing partner Jeff Lobach.
Craighead Carey replaces partner Kimberly Decker, who finished two terms of service on the committee at the end of 2020. On the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, partner Matthew Hennesy takes over as the chair of the group. He replaces partner Lauralee Baker, who had been the chair of the group since 2016. Partner Jeremy Frey has been named to the firm’s compensation committee, which determines salary levels throughout the firm. He replaces partner Randy Moyer on the committee. AERO ENERGY APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Wes Warehime served as the Chief Financial Officer at Aero Energy since 2016 and previously served as the controller for Leonhardt Manufacturing Company for almost 10 years. With the start of the new calendar year, he has now assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Although 2020 can easily be characterized as a year of highly unique circumstances, “the board strongly believes Wes’ background will serve the company and its employees well,” said chairman of the board, Steve Rasmussen. The company remains poised and confident at the onset of 2021 in its ability to not only provide excellent service to its customers but to also grow to new heights never seen before.
