Unleash the Leader Within... Leadership Hanover Are you looking for ways to better position yourself within the marketplace? Are you looking for career advancement? Are you looking develop professionally? Then look no further. Leadership Hanover, a unique leadership program focusing on discovering and developing the leader within, will kick off its 2016-17 class this fall. Meeting one day a month for six months, the Leadership Hanover program is designed to make future leaders more successful by better knowing the Hanover area, networking with key business owners, and establishing relationships with other participants.
“Leadership is about knowing the people that follow you, and being conscious of the people and places that made them who they are today. On a local level, leadership means understanding the culture that makes Hanover so special,” said Kenny Watson, Vice President at M&T Bank, and 2016 graduate of Leadership Hanover. “I believe the most skilled leaders understand the importance of looking to the past to guide their decision-making process. Leadership Hanover is a great way to get plugged into your surroundings and ultimately make your surroundings a better place to live and work.” Con’t pg. 3

The Hanover Sock Hop, presented by Doceo Office Solutions, was held on Sat., April 9 at the Heritage & Conference Center in downtown Hanover. Guests twisted the night away to 50’s tunes from Rich and the Roadrunners, snacked on gourmet ‘diner food’ by LaCucina, and enjoyed games and entertainment. Serving as guest emcee and judge of the danceoff competition, Joe Black of WHVR/WYCR radio selected Lisanne Gray (Doceo Growth Partners) and her husband Michael as dance-off winners, with Scott and Kitty Kurz (Minuteman Press of Hanover) coming in a very close second. The event brought in close to $4,000, with proceeds benefitting Main Street Hanover.
