For nearly 100 years, the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce has been a leading voice for the business community. As we look to the future, we are energized by what’s ahead and guided by input from the business community. The Hanover Chamber is pleased to announce the new strategic plan that will help guide the organization over the next three years. Created in partnership with our Board of Directors, members and staff, these bold plans build upon what has been working while introducing new ambitions aimed at developing talent in the community, strengthening the workforce, and fostering community pride. Grace Elsner (Organizational Development and Training) directed the task group, engaged the Board of Directors, and helped the staff organize the breadth of feedback received from surveys. The plan includes seven major goals with corresponding objectives and action steps. The Hanover Chamber’s
mission remains the same going forward: The Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce delivers value to its members and advances the interests of the business community. The vision of the organization has been tweaked to reflect the greater Hanover region: To create opportunities for communitywide prosperity and growth by being the catalyst for the advancement of community, economic and workforce development, business growth, and business advocacy in the greater Hanover region. When our economy is thriving, our community thrives, and that is our objective moving forward. We thank the Board members, community and chamber members that provided feedback for us to develop the 2023 – 2025 strategic plan.
