Celebrating the history behind the lots we offer
A specialist auction house founded in 1993, H&H has since sold over 25,000 classic and collector motorcars and motorcycles. Amassing more than 80,000 clients worldwide, it has been continuously trading longer than any UK or European rival.
Staffed by hands-on enthusiasts with centuries of combined experience, H&H is proud to be one of just two UK auction houses to have sold a motorcar for over $11million and a motorcycle for more than $500,000; a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta and a 1930 Brough Superior SS100 respectively.

The company has also sold numerous successful competition cars (F1, WRC, Le Mans 24h) as well as those owned by A-list celebrities and members of the British Royal Family.

We believe that every sale should be an event in and of itself with the cars or motorcycles on offer being the stars.
Auctions are our speciality and we aim to make them as engaging and rewarding as possible.

There is nothing quite like the buzz of an energised saleroom. Held at prestigious venues across the UK, our auctions attract like-minded enthusiasts and thus have a social as well as a business aspect to them.
Now in its fourth decade, H&H has always been underpinned by an ethos of friendliness, transparency and professionalism. Our specialists can guide you through all aspects of the buying or selling process.
Promotion of your vehicle using both print and digital marketing campaigns including: printed catalogues, e-catalogues, newsletters, social media posts, plus a presence in the best specialist print media and via various third party websites and portals.

We treat others as we would want to be treated ourselves which is why so much of our business comes from word of mouth recommendations. We are constantly striving to improve our offering to both sellers and buyers alike.
At H&H, client funds are held in a ringfenced account, a unique feature that sets us apart and ensures maximum protection.
Our venues are all wonderful places to visit in their own right. The picturesque Pavilion Gardens, Buxton and magnificent Kelham Hall, near Newark are both architectural delights, while the National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull, Imperial War Museum Duxford, Cambridgeshire and Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire are all crammed with fascinating machinery. They are also unified by their suitability to host our sales offering a wealth of undercover space, plentiful parking and on-site catering.

Whether it is via our printed catalogues, postal flyers, e-catalogues, website, myriad social media postings or by way of advertisements taken with specialist print media or on third party websites we try our best to market your vehicle(s) to as many people as possible.
After thirty plus years in business and over 25,000 sales we have simply dealt with more people than many of our competitors.
We are delighted with the amount of repeat business we attract but also thrilled at the number of new faces present at each and every sale.

We advertise in the highest circulation, best-selling magazines such as Classic & Sportscar, Classic Bike, Classic Car Weekly and Old Bike Mart.
Our dedicated account executive populates our Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube feeds / channels on an almost daily basis.
Our specialist Automotive PR agency works with a variety of household names and leverages its vast network of contacts to obtain truly global exposure across print, digital and social media platforms.
Our auction catalogues have become collectors’ items themselves and are produced in advance of every sale in both printed and digital formats. Your allocated specialist will advise on what size entry best suits your vehicle. Options range from a half-page to a four-page spread and are augmented by additional images on the H&H website.
We partner with several third-party websites to promote your vehicle to as many people as possible around the world and regularly sell to other continents.

You can obtain a no obligation valuation for sale purposes by contacting our specialist team via the telephone (01925 210035), email (sales@handh.co.uk) or using the form on our website which also allows you to upload images.
You will be allocated a dedicated specialist who will advise on current market trends and give you an idea of your vehicle’s potential under the hammer. They will also help with photography and collating information for the catalogue description etc.
The sooner a vehicle is consigned the better in terms of the pre-sale marketing it receives. Your car or motorcycle will be promoted across multiple websites as well as in our printed and e-catalogues. With 80,000 plus clients worldwide few rivals can match our reach.
We have specialist valeters in attendance at our auctions but their focus will be on a vehicle’s exterior. People buy with their eyes at auction so the more you can do to prepare a vehicle and its paperwork the better.

All our auctions are preceded by a viewing day which is free to attend. Every vendor receives a complimentary copy of our printed catalogue (which grants two people admittance). We also offer reserved seating and encourage vendors to attend so that they can enjoy the saleroom’s vibrant atmosphere.
We aim to make the process of selling as seamless as possible. Therefore, as well as processing secure payments fourteen days after receipt of cleared funds we handle keeper changes with the DVLA.

Mike at H&H was first class to deal with. Very helpful and made the process very easy.
J Waters
Had a great service from Mike Davis, he organised the sale of around 30 bikes for me, nothing was a problem and everything was dealt with very well.
D Allison
Absolutely excellent from start to finish. Lucas Gomersall guided us through the whole process. From the cars being collected to the actual auction, when the cars sold well, could not have gone more smoothly.
J Lucas
Amazing results, I achieved exactly what I was hoping for on each Car, Paul was very Professional and would highly recommend him and H&H to my friends.
D Lohan
Mike Davis was very helpful and professional throughout, couldn’t ask for more support, excellent communication, very pleased and highly recommended for the sale of anything in the H&H sale remit.
P De’ath
Great service from beginning to end. Spoke to Damian Jones first, very professional and helpful. He explained the process clearly. He inspected my classic car and valued it fairly. He took numerous photos and described the vehicle accurately for the catalogue. Dropped it off at Buxton for viewing and it sold on the day for over the estimate.
