Wesley L. Page, FAIA: Twenty-Seven Years of Architecture In Perspective As architect and illustrator, Wesley L. Page, FAIA uses his artist’s hand to elevate development of the design process and product and to advocate for drawing as a still critical design tool in the digital age. Annually since 1986 the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) has invited professional and student architectural illustrators from around the globe to take part in the Architecture in Perspective competition. This international juried competition recognizes some of the world’s best architectural illustration. Submitted artworks are created in any 2D medium including drawings, paintings, renderings, and digital imagery. The competition features three judging categories: Rendering (formal and informal), Observational and Thematic. From 500 to 600 entries each year jurors select approximately 50 renderings for recognition. Those awarded are collectively displayed in the Society’s annual Architecture In Perspective traveling exhibition and are featured in the exhibit catalog as well as on the ASAI website.
