Second Years transformed into their favourite literary characters as a fitting finale to our first English Week.
Characters roaming the Hampton corridors included a sleuth of Sherlock Holmes’ and several Gandalfs alongside Skulduggery Pleasant, Frodo the Hobbit and Captain Hook. Plaudits to our teachers, who entered into the spirit of the day with gusto - including a full cast of The Three Little Pigs!
From quizzes to competitions, alumni stories to writing prizes, thank you to all who helped make English Week such a success.

Twenty-One Hampton chemists took part in the prestigious Junior Chemistry Challenge.
Competing against more than 5,000 entrants nationwide, the boys impressed with their excellent problem-solving skills, achieving thirteen Gold, six Silver and two Copper awards. Designed to stretch pupils beyond the GCSE syllabus, the competition challenges participants to think outside the box and apply their knowledge creatively.


Upper Sixth Hamptonians have received an impressive range of university offers, spanning subjects from Engineering and Medicine to Ancient History and Modern Languages.
Pupils hold offers from Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial and UCL, as well as leading US and European institutions including the Universities of Cornell and Brown, and Bocconi University, Italy.

Senior mathematicians excelled in the 2026 Hans Woyda Maths Competition.
Founded in 1979, the prestigious contest challenges 64 top schools with fast-paced problem-solving rounds. Hamptonians’ mathematical flair saw them navigate the group stages with confidence, securing a place in the final four of the tournament.
Bravo to Upper Sixth twins Noah and Gabriel who came third in the national finals of the 2026 French Debating Competition!
After beating 54 other teams in the regional heats, the Hampton Francophiles competed in the Joutes Oratoires Lycéennes held at the French Institute.


Two Hamptonians have excelled in the prestigious UK Linguistics Olympiad, earning national recognition for their exceptional problem‑solving skills.
Lower Sixth Hamptonian Jihwan achieved a Distinction placing him in the top 1.25% of candidates nationwide. Fourth Year Shishir was awarded a Merit - one of the youngest Hamptonians ever to receive an award at this level.



Art Week celebrated the creativity of Lower School Hamptonians.
Hands-on workshops included clay throwing and tie-dye printing, and Second Years worked with textile artist Jahnavi Iniss, exploring identity and heritage for a collaborative mural. A popular competition to design a neckerchief for Harris, the School dog, rounded off the week.
Hamptonians impressed at this year’s STEM Fair.
Young innovators designed inventions ranging from seed-dropping aeroplanes to intelligent plant watering systems. They also conducted wind tunnel aerodynamic tests and household appliance energy investigations.




Second Years dipped into French, German, Spanish, Russian, Mandarin and Classical Greek during Languages Taster Week.
The fun, fast-paced sessions gave pupils the chance to explore which language they might choose next year –and demonstrated just how exciting discovering a new language can be.
Upper Sixth mentors enjoyed a lively ‘get-to-know-you’ lunch with First Years.
Chatting about all things Hampton - from clubs and homework to playing on the 3G pitch and upcoming trips - the senior boys drew on their own experiences to offer helpful advice and guidance to younger Hamptonians.

First Year Hamptonians enjoyed a homework free Cooking Week, creating dishes that celebrated family culture and favourite recipes.
Culinary efforts – from fragrant curries to chocolate cupcakes - will feature in a First Year Charity Cookbook. The week concluded with a fun tea party, where pupils shared homemade treats with friends.


A spectacular evening of rock saw performances from musicians across the year groups.
From powerful opening numbers to standout sets by the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Rock Bands, performers delivered high-octane energy and creativity.


The annual Independent/State Schools Partnership (ISSP) Music Day brought together more than 130 young musicians from Hampton and six partner schools for a vibrant day of music‑making.
Pupils showcased their talents in a joyful evening concert - a celebration of partnership and the impressive musical talent of everyone involved.

A thrilling production of Treasure Island featured a cast from Hampton and Hampton High.
Accompanied by a live band, the production delivered excitement at every turn, immersing audiences in a world of buccaneers and high-stakes escapades.
AND

The Sixth Form directed play delivered a gripping interpretation of Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None.
Directed by Upper Sixth pupils Jayden and Ben, the talented Hampton and LEH cast brought characters to life, with atmospheric staging and sharp pacing creating a compelling and suspenseful evening of theatre.
Hampton’s first‑ever Chamber Music Day was a new addition to the School’s musical calendar, offering Hamptonians a day of focused small‑ensemble coaching and performance.

Pupils worked with renowned violinist Nicole Wilson and clarinettist Anna Hashimoto, gaining inspiring insights throughout rehearsals and performances. The event culminated in an uplifting evening concert, celebrating the breadth of chamber music at Hampton and the impressive musicianship shown across all ensembles.
Sixth Form economists touched down in Dubai for an enriching academic and cultural trip.
Alongside high-impact workshops at PwC and analysing real-world market behaviour in the city’s souks, Hamptonians enjoyed a thrilling desert safari. The first-hand experience left the group ready to apply their new insights back in the classroom.



Third Years embraced the festive spirit exploring the UNESCO‑listed Old Town of Lübeck.
A visit to the European Hansemuseum brought Lübeck’s history to life for the Germanists, and sampling the region’s famous marzipan and muzen added seasonal flavour to a memorable trip.




Alpine landscapes set the scene for this year’s ski adventures in Austria and Italy.
Third Year pupils tackled the slopes of Wagrain, progressing from first turns to confident runs in perfect winter sunshine, while senior skiers took on challenging Dolomite pistes and night skiing under floodlights. Après-ski fun, from tobogganing to team games, rounded off an exhilarating week on the mountains.

Fourth Year Hamptonians headed to Bentley Copse for an action packed Duke of Edinburgh’s Award training weekend.
Pupils mastered the essentials of expedition life — pitching tents, packing rucksacks, navigating routes and safely operating Trangia stoves. A highlight was cooking their own three-course meal, before rounding off the weekend with a ten-kilometre hike to put their new skills into practice.

Hampton enjoyed one of its best Rugby Sevens seasons in recent memory, with all our year groups claiming silverware.
The First VII lifted the U18 Surrey Cup and also secured the Plate at the Hampton Founders’ Day Tournament, while the Second VII went unbeaten to win the Halliford VIIs. Further success for our younger teams saw the U16 squad claim the Middlesex Cup, and the U13 team win the St John’s Beaumont VIIs competitionan inspiring campaign for Hampton Rugby.






Congratulations to our Grounds staff who have been named Grounds Team of the Year for the London Region.
The pitches and gardens on our School site are always in pristine condition and the Independent Schools’ FA (ISFA) Recognition Award is richly deserved and acknowledgement of the year-round commitment, professionalism, and dedication of our Grounds staff.


Hampton rowers impressed at the 2026 Schools’ Head of the River Race.
All leading crews placed in the top four of their categories, with the First VIII setting the pace for most of the race before finishing a commendable fourth.
The Second VIII secured third place and both J16 boats claimed superb second place finishes. Strong performances from all three J15 crews rounded off a highly encouraging day for Hampton rowing.




Three ESFA finals is phenomenal. All the players are proud to represent our School and can’t wait to give our all on the biggest stage.

Congratulations to our First XI, Second XI and U12B teams, who have all secured places in their respective English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA) Finals.
Crowning an exceptional season, the squads will compete in their final matches this May at the prestigious Britannia Stadium, home to Stoke City FC. As ever, Hampton supporters will be out in force to cheer them on.
These achievements continue an exceptional run, with Hampton teams reaching ESFA finals 14 times in the past nine years.
