MELANIE ROBINSON CBE
On behalf of the Directors of Hampshire FA, welcome to King George V Football Complex for the U12, U13 and U14 Girls Cup Finals. Reaching a final is a significant achievement. Both teams should be immensely proud of the journey they’ve taken to get here.

As we enjoy the competition, let’s remember that football is a game for everyone. We remain fully committed to our anti-discrimination campaign which seeks to raise awareness of the action taken against discrimination and poor behaviour in grassroots football. There is no place for prejudice in our sport –today is about celebrating participation, talent and good sportsmanship.

We have many representatives from the breadth of our football family to cheer

To the players, congratulations on your success so far. Play with passion, enjoy the moment and may the best team win. Good luck to you and your coaching team.
To the volunteers, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to you all! From the committee members to the matchday stewards and officials, your tireless dedication is the heartbeat of grassroots football in our County. We couldn’t do this without you.
To our valued partners and stakeholders; thank you.
We are one community, working together to create and support a memorable matchday experience. I’m very proud to be part of your team.

awesome girls. This year has been full of so much hard work, dedication, drive, ability and commitment from them They have been incredible in training and games and the development and play has been phenomenal.
The best thing for me has been the way they play together. Supporting each other, never giving up and always playing together as a proper team The girls won HGYFL Division 1 with 2 games left to play winning 34 points out of a possible 36 .
The consistency from them this season has been superb and they continue to improve match on match. No matter the result in the final, we are very proud of them
As a club, we are fully committed to building something special for girls’ football at Basingstoke Town FC. While our girls’ section is relatively new in footballing terms, it has already begun to make a real impact and these girls are a great example of what the club wants to achieve to develop a strong base for our women's team to build on -Matthew Kemp

Sam, Iain, and Martin are incredibly proud of the players for reaching the County Cup final.
This season has been filled with brilliant memories on and off the pitch, and every single player should be immensely proud of the effort they have put in to get here.
You have been a genuine pleasure to coach this year, and seeing your progress and the way you've come together as a group has been the real highlight for us.
A special thank you to the parents and families for your constant support and for being such a big part of this journey. Let’s enjoy every moment of today and celebrate everything the team has achieved this season.

The final is a fantastic opportunity for a group of players to showcase their growth and learning from throughout the season.
It will allow them to compete in an environment which pushes them both on and off the pitch. Result aside, the experience will allow the players to be tested on many factors.
The most important matter is how they can represent themselves and the club, and continue to learn from every experience.
We also recognise the important commitment and support of the parents and families to allow their children to compete each week through training and matchdays.
