Issue 1 centers on Vincent van Gogh's final years, tracing the arc of longing, sadness, and confinement that shaped his most celebrated paintings from the hospital gardens of Saint-Rémy to the wheat fields of Auvers-sur-Oise.
The issue features four original editorial features exploring Van Gogh's time in Arles, his voluntary commitment at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum, his turbulent final months in Auvers, and the emotional undercurrent running through his most recognized works.
