March 17, 2026 God’s Miraculous Provision for Our People at Crossroads Church Nampa, Idaho: Crossroads Church Co-Pastor Barry McGarrah was traveling with a men's group in the region of the Mediterranean Gulf when fighting broke out in the Middle East between Israel and the US, and Iran. Miraculously, the entire group arrived back home safe and sound after being caught in a war zone following the coordinated strikes on Iran, but from all reports, their safe return was a miracle. On Saturday, February 28th, the men’s group was in Akaba, Jordan, when they began hearing the air raid sirens. We didn’t know what it meant ... we looked up, and were like, okay, are they getting missiles shot at them?” said McGarrah. They were indeed aware of the risks of traveling to the region, noting, "Before we left on the trip, we knew that [President] Trump had kind of told Iran like 10 to 15 days," McGarrah said. All air travel in the region came to an immediate standstill, and the group's flights were canceled, trapping the twenty-plus Idahoans thousands of miles away from home. Pastor Barry believes that their successful return home was nothing short of a miracle. Even the group's travel agent that rebooked their cancelled flights felt like “a higher power may have been in play,” said McGarrah. “There are still thousands of people over there stuck and can’t get home. The fact that [we] were able to get out is truly miraculous.” The agent was able to rebook them right away on March 1st, traveling from Amman, Jordan, through Istanbul, Turkey. They arrived in Seattle on March 2nd. Amazing! The story of their safe return was picked up by KIVI Idaho News 6, and reporter Isaiah Sharp:
