August 18, 2026 Online Study Opportunity with Dr. John Oswalt through the Francis Asbury Society Earlier this year, the Francis Asbury Society offered an online weekly Bible study through the New Testament book of Hebrews, taught by Dr. John Oswalt. Several EMC people participated in the class on Monday nights, and were blessed by his deep insights and profound exegesis. Dr. Oswalt is truly a treasure, and one of the world’s preminent Biblical scholars. He has helped to shape a few generations of seminary trained pastors, educators, missionaries, and church leaders, and is a perpetual favorite of those in the academy. But he makes himself available to ordinary folk like you and me through classes like the Hebrews study, and is now preparing to share his wisdom with us again, with the Old Testament book of Jeremiah in view. The Francis Asbury Society is offering this online class to anyone interested, free of charge. It will be offered live at the FAS ministry headquarters in Wilmore, Kentucky, but will also be streamed online as well on Monday nights starting Sept. 14.
