April 8, 2025 Three District Meetings Complete We are certainly underway in the hosting of our regional meetings for 2025! With three of our four meetings complete, we have now turned our faces to Idaho for our final meeting of the year, which begins Thursday, April 10th. The first of four was held at Riverside EMC in Salem, Virginia and it was a glorious gathering of friends and leaders from all over the Eastern USA. Dr. Friedeman’s preaching was impactful and Spirit-filled. And, all of the sessions were centered around our 2025 theme of “God Alone.”
Salem, The fellowship has Virginia been rich as pastors Riverside EMC and local church leaders have gathered to share what God has been doing in their communities. The positive testimonies have been too many to list. One pastor said to me, “This is what the connection is for!” Amen.
Marshfield, Missouri Crossroads EMC
The meeting in Marshfield was equally joyful. Between Virginia and Missouri, we celebrated the ministerial Ordination of three active pastors: Rev. Joshua Reid, Rev. Daniel Strosnider, and Rev. Tiffany Barber. We need 100 more pastors just like them!!
Our third meeting of this year found us in beautiful Arizona. When I’m there, I always love capturing some special sunrises. This time was no exception, as the desert painted scenes that testified to me of God’s glory in creation. Even more beautiful was our time at Estrella Community Church with saints and servants. As in the other locations, the Estrella folks hosted us warmly. The call to Listen, Worship, Feast, and Follow the Lord Alone has permeated each gathering, and the offerings given Estrella EMC to EMC Global Missions have crested Eloy, AZ $12,000 with one collection still to go!
