We are pleased to share with you our 2022 Annual Narrative Report!
Despite it being a challenging year for women's rights organizations worldwide, marked by economic disruptions from COVID-19 that led many governments to prioritize economic recovery over human rights, the Greater Horn of Africa region faced additional hurdles. Specifically, political instability in Sudan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Somalia posed serious risks to our staff, partners, and beneficiaries.
Nonetheless, we reached over 26,610 beneficiaries, enhanced the capacity of 3,154 grassroots advocates, and supported 31 partners in strengthening the feminist movement.
These examples represent just a glimpse of our achievements across 5 strategic areas: Enhancing Women and Girls’ Access to Justice, Ending Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG), Enhancing Women’s Social Protection and Economic Justice, Promoting the Rights of Women and Girls on the Move, and Building Inclusive Women’s Movements.
