Feedback from David Hill, our adjudicator, and results
Please silence your phones for the duration of the performance and refrain from taking any photos or recordings throughout.

I am delighted to welcome you to this year ’ s Young Musician of the Year Final This highlight of the musical calendar provides an opportunity for our pupils to showcase their very best performances, while providing the audience with an exceptional evening of music All of our performers tonight gained a distinction mark in the preliminary heats of the Grade 7+ categories But tonight the scores are even, and we look forward to an exciting programme of performances as we are taken on a musical journey from the Classical era to Broadway. In addition, we shall hear a performance from last year ’ s Musician of the Year winner, Millie Whale.
As always, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues for all the hard work they have put into preparing the pupils for their performances. Thank you also to the Operations staff for their support in staging this evening’s concert. Special thanks also to Mr Ali, Mr Gibson-Smith and Mr Smith for accompanying the pupil performances. I hope you have a wonderful evening.
