Located on isla Grange,tierra del Fuego, In the northwest of the province of Tierra del Fuego, about 60 km southwest of the city of Río Grande, “Wuijoor Lodge” is located within the lands of Estancia Laura. e lodge was founded in 2023, using a remodeled ranch house that was built in the 1930s. A privileged place, immersed in the southernmost Patagonia of Argentina, surrounded by rolling foothills with native - Ñire and Lenga – trees, mountains, and valleys created by the course of the Menendez River and the Ona River. e remote environment where we do our shing is mainly composed of the Menendez River and a few steppe streams without trees on their banks. is river is home to a large population of Brown and Rainbow trout up to 2kg and the famous anadromous Sea Run Brown Trout up to 12kg. e river water is naturally clear, greenish in tone. Fishing is very technical, since the river has very short and very deep pools where the trout seeks to pause, without wasting energy. is normally forces us to use short and sinking lines to be able to present our flies in the place where the fish are. To get to the Lodge we have only a short a trip from Rio Grande, of one hour and een minutes on a gravel road that is not dicult to navigate. oers a variety of shing situations like very few places can. By housing resident and migratory trout, it allows us to use dierent equipment and techniques to make catches - from shing streamers with sinking lines, to shing with Spanish line or European nymph. e Menendez River also generates challenges and dierent situations for us every week since it can be quite variable in its ow and tone of water. When the rains are present, this forces us to put our cunning into play and try dierent alternatives to connect with these big fish. e shing intensity is very good. e spectacular anadromous trout “Sea Run Brown Trout” of surprising size and an iridescent brown color that astonishes any lover of y shing, can be found from the fourth week of February until the last day of the season, April 15th. e most surprising and gratifying, is the strength and ght that it gives, resulting in the sh sometimes achieving victory. The Lodge has the capacity to accommodate up to a maximum of 6 anglers. e Lodge has Premium Suite rooms, that are doubles, with an en-suite bathroom, and an excellent view of the valley of the Estancia.
