About GYEDC Established in 1995, the Greater Yuma Economic Development Corporation (GYEDC) originated as the designated regional economic development organization for Southwest Arizona. GYEDC is supported by a diverse industry base of investors included but not limited to agriculture, education, finance, manufacturing, professional services, and development companies. The cities of San Luis, Somerton, Wellton, Yuma and Yuma County along with 100+ private investors support GYEDC’s vision and mission.
