Harbour Bridge still down ‘Upgrade existing power Workers were up to press time last night working feverishly to get the Demerara Harbour Bridge back into operation after an oil tanker crashed into it early Saturday. Late Sunday afternoon Juan Edghill, Minister of Public Works made a visit to the bridge where works are ongoing on the damaged structure. Minister Edghill said during the visit that
everything that needs to be in place is already in place and works are underway to get the bridge back to operation in the shortest possible time. Minister Edghill thanked the dedicated team who is out there working 24/7 as well as the Private Sector for its much needed support.
