Each year, member households in good standing elect peers to serve on the Board of Directors. Due to the 2024 bylaw change reducing the Board from twelve to nine members over three years, this year members will elect three Directors to replace Jim Carden, Nancy Austin, Beth Dingman, and Joe Magliola, whose terms end in March. A member household in good standing is one with an up-to-date account by the “record date” of January 27, 2025. Exceptions include households with finalized dues payment plans or those applying for 2025 dues relief through the Member Assistance Program (MAP). In mid-February, members in good standing will receive voter codes via mail and email. Each household may cast one vote. Members owning multiple properties will have their vote multiplied by the number of properties owned. GVR’s elections are managed by Vote-Now.com, a third-party service offering online voting and paper ballots. Paper ballot requests will be available from February 19–23. Look for election details in your mailbox in mid-February. Any questions? Please contact Nanci Moyo at NanciM@GVRec.org.

Time commitment can vary significantly depending upon the business before the Board and a Director’s committee participation. Typically, the Board and committees hold regular meetings once a month, but additional meetings are often scheduled. Are you able to make this type of time commitment?
Steve Reynolds: Yes. I’ve served on and have been an active member of the Fiscal Affairs Committee the last four years ad understand very well the time commitment for GVR’s board members to prepare for and attend monthly committee meetings, board meetings and work sessions.
Beth Dingman: Yes, I am able to make the time commitment, although I will have to attend some of the meetings by Zoom. I attended all the board meetings these past two and a half years, but may have missed one Work Session.
Lanny Smith: Yes. I am willing and able to make the time commitment. Board and committee members are tasked to consider and make decisions on behalf of the membership. My duty as a responsible board member is to be well prepared to make those decision, regardless of time.
April Hasson Hillard: Yes Dale Howard: Yes
Jodie Walker: Yes, I can commit to the required time needed to fulfill the duties of a Director.
