Vice President Dr Bharrat Jagdeo met with King Charles III at Dumfries House in Scotland on Tuesday, 21st April, 2026 St George’s University is now officially a member of the Global Biodiversity Alliance (GBA). President, Dr Irfaan Ali presented the certificate of membership to the university’s President, Dr Marios Loukas, during a simple ceremony at State House. With this step, the university joins a growing network of more than 120 member organisations and countries, including Germany and the United Nations, whose membership was recently accepted. The President thanked the university for its commitment and interest. By joining, it is taking an important step towards advancing a shared global mission (Office of the President)
