Minister of Housing, the Hon Collin Croal and Minister within the Ministry, the Hon Vanessa Benn, on Sunday visited the Yarrowkabra Homestead Project and the Silica City housing development, located on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, to get a first-hand view of the progress of the works being done. At Yarrowkabra, 25 out of 200 prefabricated houses have been completed and the ministry is looking to incorporate the construction of shade houses into the project. Regarding, the much-anticipated Silica City, the ministry plans to construct modern houses to meet the growing interest of the Guyanese Diaspora in the second phase.
