Earlier this month, residents of Lake Capoey, on the Essequibo Coast, harvested Tambaqui from four aquaculture cages, which are part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Cage Aquaculture Project. The project is being run by the community, and harvests are done every three weeks. This recent harvest was bountiful, and included fishes that weighed as much as five pounds (OP photos)
