Construction of the Railway Embankment four-lane roadway at Enmore is progressing steadily, marking another major step in the transformation of transportation infrastructure along the East Coast Demerara corridor. The new arterial road will extend from Enmore to the Unity Roundabout, providing residents and commuters with an alternative route and reducing dependence on the East Coast Public Road. The project represents a significant upgrade from what was once a mud dam that was largely impassable for many vehicles, particularly in the Haslington area. Upon completion, the roadway will enhance connectivity, improve traffic flow, and create safer and more efficient travel for thousands of residents (DPI photos)
