President Dr Irfaan Ali, on Tuesday morning, met with a group of youths from Region Five during a breakfast meeting at Park Square Funcity in Mahaicony, to discuss their role in the agro-business sector. He emphasised his government’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovative approaches to Guyana’s growth.The President announced support for a project focused on the agro-food business, linking it to the national food system through the Agriculture and Innovation Entrepreneurship Programme. This initiative will use technology and sustainable practices to produce chickens, prawns, shrimp, and eggs. He aims to equip every region with state-of-the-art facilities to achieve self-sufficiency in egg and chicken production.
