A Letter from the Founder
Dear Friends,
Welcome to season three in the Baker Theatre and Education Center. It seems we opened this building only yesterday so it’s hard for me to believe we already have two years under our belts. When I look back at the past two years, I feel incredibly grateful and proud of everything we’ve accomplished. And that “we” includes you — Gulfshore Playhouse would not be what it is today without you. Thanks to you, we had our first $1 million+ box office record with our Broadwayequivalent production of White Christmas, our first article in the New York Times, our first Happy Hour, our first Production Center tour, and so many more “firsts” that were unfathomable to us just a few years ago. As time marches onward, we’ll have fewer “firsts” than we once did, but that doesn’t mean we are letting the novelty wear off anytime soon. There is always something new to discover and experience at Gulfshore Playhouse. And, like a fine wine, we get better with age. The more we grow, the more we learn. And that means even more meaningful educational opportunities, more opportunities for community engagement, and, whether they be gorgeous well-worn classics, or brand new cutting edge world premieres, better production value and more and more incredible professional actors.
Speaking of which, we are so excited about our professional season. On the Moran Mainstage, we’re kicking off with a brand new version of Charles Dickens’ beloved classic, A Christmas Carol, adapted by yours truly. It has long been an aspiration of mine to give this holiday tradition to Naples, and I’m honored by
the opportunity to finally see this dream come true… you’ve given me so many gifts, and now I can give you one in return. Although a play, this piece will feature music, and a little dancing, some magic, and some parts of the story you haven’t seen before. My sincerest hope is that this will become a play you and your family will return to again and again. We want to help you ring in the new year with something completely different — the highoctane thriller, Heist by Arun Lakra.
This exhilarating new play will be a co-production with two revered regional theaters, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Milwaukee Repertory Theater. A new play featuring a sort of Oceans Eleven type caper with high tech and witty repartee. Next up is what many have called the greatest musical comedy of all time, Guys and Dolls This hilarious musical features some of Broadway’s most iconic numbers and unforgettable characters. And closing out the Mainstage season is Moliere’s outrageously hilarious and relevant classic comedy, Tartuffe.
In the Struthers Studio, join us in the fall as we transform the theatre into a cabaret club for The World Goes ‘Round, a high-energy musical revue featuring the legendary songs of Kander and Ebb. Then we’ll be premiering the brilliant Brent Askari’s play Fundraiser after a fantastic reception at the 2026 Next Wave Festival. (Make sure to check out the 2027 Next Wave Festival in May!) And last, but certainly not least, join us for the explosive new Broadway play JOB by Max Wolf Friedlich. This one is hard to describe, but you really have to see it to enter the conversation. This play tackles themes of authority, power, mental health, and technology, all in one neat little 80-minute bundle.
Gulfshore Playhouse Education continues to serve students of all ages. Be sure to check out all of the offerings we have available for children and adults including after-school classes, acting and vocal lessons, lifelong learning, master classes, opportunities to get behind the curtain, and so much more! There is a lot that goes on in Gulfshore Playhouse Education that most people don’t realize: from our annual collaboration with the Naples Philharmonic, creating a musicalized Shakespeare adaptation for the entire 11th grade of Collier County, to special classes for our friends at STARability, the Judy Cheteyan Fellowship which will provide opportunities for training undergrads beginning this
summer, and after-school programs in Immokalee helping to improve 3rd Grade Reading Levels, there is something for everyone thanks to what we do.
Gulfshore Playhouse is so much more than just a theatre. Though creating worldclass entertainment is our first priority, we also believe in nourishing the whole person and serving our community as a gathering space. We have numerous wellness programs and social opportunities like Broadway Zumba and Paint ‘n Sip.
You can rent Struthers or Hertzog Hall for your organization or group. Our lobby is open throughout the day so feel free to stop by to buy a coffee or a cocktail and enjoy some delicious light bites provided by Grappino. Robin, much to her husband’s chagrin, invites another married couple over to their mansion before a fundraiser for the private school their daughters attend. After an awkward first meeting, it seems these couples have almost nothing in common…except the silent auction item they hope to win. As it turns out, there’s more on the line than just a prize as the bidding war quickly becomes a hilarious clash of ideas, tax brackets, and personalities. Fresh from our 2026 Next Wave Festival, this world premiere comedy from the playwright behind The Refugees is sharp, timely, and heartfelt.

The world’s most famous love story, Romeo and Juliet, finds new life in a captivating theatre and music performance. World-class actors and musicians from Gulfshore Playhouse and the Naples Philharmonic at Artis—Naples will tell this epic fable of feuding families and star-crossed lovers.
Gulfshore Playhouse and the Naples Philharmonic at Artis—Naples first joined forces with the Collier County Public Schools in 2017 to present Starcrossed, an adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, to the entire 11th grade of Collier County (3000+ students).
This partnership is designed to enhance students’ understanding of Shakespeare’s work while giving them the unique opportunity to witness world-class performances from professional actors and musicians.
We’ve produced adaptations of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream and orchestral performances of Prokofiev, Mendelssohn, Bernstein, and more.

Bars & Pre-order: Bars open 90 minutes before showtime, serving wine, cocktails, and sweet + savory light bites. Skip the lines, pre-order your drinks and have them waiting when you arrive!
Theatre Entry: Theatre doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Tickets (hard copy or mobile) will be scanned at the theatre doors, please have them ready.
PARKING
Valet Parking ($10): Conveniently located at the corner of 12th Street South and First Avenue South. To access valet, enter Naples Square via Third Avenue South, then turn onto 12th Street South.
City of Naples Parking Garage (12th Street South): Handicap-accessible parking is located on the first level. Standard parking is available on the upper levels.
TICKETING POLICIES
Exchanges Made Easy: We realize that plans change. If your plans change, call our Box Office 239.261.7529 at least 24 hours before your performance to move your tickets to another date. Exchange fees may apply.
Late Arrivals: We want you to enjoy the full experience. If you arrive after the performance has begun, our Front of House team will seat you at the next appropriate break. Please note, seating cannot always be guaranteed once the show is underway.
