What is Proposed? New homes are proposed on an approximately 6.7-hectare site on the edge of Sparkford. The site is well related to the east of the village, with the River Cam bounding its eastern side. Somerset Council considers Sparkford to be a sustainable location for new housing, with initial discussions with its planning department being supportive of this proposal. A high-quality development is proposed, with a mix of housing types and tenures, including affordable housing for local people.
