Over 115 years ago, we opened our doors to help make the lives of hard-working Texans better. We were a family business back then. We remain a family business today with a passion for - and a helping hand in - every community we serve. From fighting hunger and providing disaster relief to honoring Texas educators and our Nation’s military, we’re firm believers in Texans helping Texans. We do this for one simple reason. We are from here, so we are helping here.
The Gold Award is the highest achievement in Girl Scouting—earned by girls who demonstrate extraordinary leadership, vision, and dedication to making a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.

Each Gold Award Girl Scout identifies a pressing issue, develops a sustainable solution, and leads a team to bring that vision to life. These projects tackle real-world challenges such as mental health and environmental sustainability.
Gold Award Girl Scouts are not only changemakers—they are future leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers. Their work reflects the values of courage, confidence, and character, and their accomplishments often open doors to scholarships, internships, and leadership opportunities.
Today, we honor these remarkable young women and invite you—our business and community leaders—to see them as the next generation of talent and trailblazers. Their passion, resilience, and drive are exactly what our communities and workplaces need to thrive.
Gold Award Girl Scouts are more likely to see themselves as leaders and to have had leadership experiences in volunteer activities, school, and their communities.

Working with Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council to fuel the female leadership pipeline with entrepreneurial spirit!

Whether they’re hiking or canoeing for the first time at camp, every outdoor adventure grows a Girl Scout’s “I’ve got this” attitude. And once they unlock that confidence, they’ll aim as high as the stars they see outside their cabin window.

When people think of Girl Scouts, cookies often come to mind — but the impact goes far beyond sweet treats. Girl Scouts is one of the world’s largest leadership development organizations for girls, helping them build courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. For business and philanthropic leaders, supporting Girl Scouts is more than a charitable gesture — it’s a strategic investment in the future workforce.
Through hands-on experiences in STEM, entrepreneurship, the outdoors and civic engagement, girls develop the skills employers value most: resilience, collaboration, and innovation.
Community support helps fund inclusive programs, provide financial assistance, and create opportunities for girls across greater Houston and southeast Texas —regardless of background.
It’s not just giving; it’s growing the next generation of changemakers who will lead our communities and industries. Whether coding, camping, or serving their neighborhoods, girls gain confidence while forming lifelong friendships.
Now more than ever, our world needs strong, compassionate leaders. Girl Scouts is where they begin.
Support Girl Scouts. Invest in girls. Build a stronger community.
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.
