Quick Tips for Change Management Do You Have the Skills to Manage Ongoing Change?

Change is the new norm. Having the right mindset to manage change isn’t only a good thing for your own mental wellbeing - it’s critical to career longevity. When we accept ongoing change and disruption as the new reality, it becomes clear that we can best succeed in today’s economy by cultivating two key skills... Positivity and a growth mindset.

Five Things to Know: 1.

Remember, every moment is a choice. When there are competing demands for your time, feeling out of control is the enemy of time management - and a major cause of stress. Take time to determine your most important commitments and make decisions where you have the greatest control (and impact) first.

Manage your time. Most people procrastinate for three reasons: They don’t know how to do the task or get started, they don’t like to do the task, or are afraid of failure. Break large projects into small, manageable, tasks and prioritize from there.

Tackle important tasks first. Events and activities fall into one of four categories: not urgent and not important, urgent but not important, not urgent but important, and urgent and important. Spend the majority of your time on the last two categories.

Change management is the perfect time to be “MINDFUL”. Apply Moment-tomoment awareness, Inspire & connect with others, Non-judgmental attitude, Detach from unhelpful thoughts, Forgive and let go, Unconditional acceptance, Listen with a beginner’s mind.
