Growing Together: Our Volunteer Communication Expands!

Edition: February 16, 2026-April 15, 2026

Our Volunteer Bi-Monthly Communication is back with its ninth edition and it’s growing!

What began as a dedicated space for our Year 1 & Year 2 volunteers has now expanded to support all Girl Scout volunteers. As our community continues to grow, we’re excited to bring everyone together in one shared communication designed to inform, inspire, and equip.

In this edition, you’ll find expanded volunteer updates and resources, making it even easier to access the tools, guidance, and support you need in one convenient place. Inside, you’ll discover helpful leader tools, engaging troop activities, member perks, and new ways to strengthen the Girl Scout sisterhood, all created to support you throughout your Girl Scout year

As always, we value your feedback. Let us know what’s working well or what additional resources would be helpful.

Reminders

Girl Scout Mission

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

in

Girl Scout Law

I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT:

HEATHER JARMAN

When it comes to stepping up and showing up for Girl Scouts, Mrs. Heather is the kind of volunteer who makes a difference far beyond her own troop. As a skilled axe throwing instructor, she’s always willing to jump in, teach, and encourage Girl Scouts with patience, confidence, and safety-first guidance.

What makes her impact even more special? Mrs. Heather doesn’t just support her troop or service unit she helps troops across North Carolina have an unforgettable (and empowering!) target sports experience.

And somehow, she does it all while raising three Girl Scouts of her own. Super mom, incredible troop leader, and a true example of what it means to lead with heart—thank you, Mrs. Heather, for helping Girl Scouts build courage, confidence, and character one bullseye at a time!
