Although we cannot be on campus together for now, we hope we can provide some opportunities for community, connection, and fun for your child this summer!
There are
numerous virtual programs being offered such as hip-hop, science, art, and theatre to suit any interests from the safety of your home. There are also camp-in-a-box options that your child can do at their own pace without having to be on a computer.
Lastly, one-on-one and small group tutoring is
available so your child can stay engaged in learning throughout the summer. enjoy!

art Project: camp-in-a-box Would you rather go at your own pace rather than logging in? The Art
Project has created Camp-in-a-Box. Families will have all the materials they need for a week, plus access to video guides, delivered to their door. Please see below for their wonderful options: (Order by Wednesday, May 27th in order to have by Monday, June 1st)
FREE-PLAY ART CAMP

Let us bring the fun and creativity of art camp to your house! With our art camp in a box, you’ll receive 5 days worth of projects designed to keep your child engaged for 1-2 hours per day. Projects include watercolors, drawing, process art painting, air dry clay, color mixing, sensory play and more. All materials and instructions will be included in the box. Students will each receive a sketchbook to work in all week and a canvas to create a mixed media piece throughout the week.
DRAWING & PAINTING CAMP $120

Discover the amazing world of Lego where imagination and creativity collide! Master Builders will tap into their genius through guided free-build missions all while connecting with fellow Masters during this live Zoom camp. Each day will bring a new challenge that will strengthen computational thinking, design, and creativity. Each camper will be provided with a camp box that will provide all materials for the minute to win it and free-build challenges. All your camper will need to provide is their own assortment of Legos. Just look around the house and gather up random Legos from your collections. This is the place where all masters of the Lego craft meet up!

2 SPORTS….1 AWESOME WEEK!!! Little Dribblers will have a blast experiencing the fun of both basketball and soccer in a fun and nurturing environment. Our program works with the basics of soccer and basketball, including, but not limited to, hand-eye coordination, ball handling, footwork, dribbling, shooting, passing, and scoring a goal. We also include songs, drills, and games to incorporate numeracy and language skills each day. Most important, we keep it fun and exciting for the kids while promoting selfesteem, sports etiquette, and benefits of exercise.

Learn how to play the royal game of chess with online coaches from all over the world. It’s time to travel the globe with CHESS. Engage in a brief overview of each guest coach's home country and then improve your chess game with these worldclass skilled and personable coaches. We will also have a chess camp director there to facilitate and will end the week on Friday with a fun chess tournament and closing ceremony. We're going to travel many miles; no luggage needed.

THE WRITING WHEEL OF FORTUNE Gretchen Riem

Learn to write in many forms including poetry, fiction, diary entry, letter... all randomized with Ms. Riem's wheel of fortune! I will spin two wheels: one with the form of writing, one with the topic. Results will surely be delightful, as well as educational.
SUMMERFEST CAMP POLICIES
Program fees must be paid in full for your child to be considered registered. Registration closes three business days prior to the start of the camp week and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis until registration closes three business days in prior to the start of the camp.
Grace-St. Luke's reserves the right to cancel camps due to low enrollment.
In the
event of a cancellation, a full credit will be issued to the camper's UltraCamp account. If a refund is required due to the camper aging out of the program and therefore being unable to use the funds for the following year, a refund for the camp amount, less the nonrefundable deposit, can be requested.
It is expected that every student attending SummerFest adhere to the school's procedures and standards of behavior, which can be located in the handbook online at gslschool.org.
GSL reserves the right to dismiss any student with a
discipline problem or who is disruptive to SummerFest virtual activities.
By registering for SummerFest, you agree to allow GSL to publish photos, artwork, videos, podcasts, and any other materials created by your children or featuring your children, in both online and printed communication materials for GSL, unless you notify the SummerFest Director in writing otherwise.
In addition to SummerFest Policies and GSL's Technology Acceptable Use Policy, the following policies apply. Online Policies 1. The educational tools and remote learning services used during enrichment courses are chosen at the discretion of the camp instructor/provider and may not coincide with the tools chosen by GSL. We ask that you cooperate with instructors/providers in supplying your child with the software necessary to attend virtual camp services, dependent on the course. 2. Technical support will not be provided by GSL during remote summer camp. Responsibility for this falls to parents. 3. Camp providers agree to communicate directly with parents about information regarding their summer camp, outside direct instruction time with the students. 4. By enrolling in virtual summer camp, parents agree to supervision of their student during the time of the summer camp.
