For spring ballet, students will progress to standing at the barre in very basic positions. Remaining class time will be devoted to beginning barre work facing the barre, beginning center work, and learning French terminology of dance. This action-packed club focuses on key, foundational literacy skills like rhyming, letter and sound relationships, syllables, and more! HappyFeet Soccer HappyFeet uses nursery rhymes, songs, stories, and fun games with a soccer ball to maximize motor development. PK and JK kids love acting out nursery rhymes and have a blast with fun games. In one HappyFeet class, students get hundreds of touches on the ball, building their confidence and basic technique while preparing them to be leaders on and off the field. Cheerleading Our program is a wonderful way to introduce the sport of cheerleading to younger girls in a fun, low-pressure environment. Learn the beginning cheers, sidelines, jumps, kicks, building stunts, and a short dance. Build confidence, teamwork, and showmanship! Students should wear form-fitting shorts, t-shirt, athletic shoes (rubber soled), hair pulled out of eyes and no jewelry. Creative Movement / Yoga Summer Maness, the new teacher this spring, has been a classroom educator and volunteer in the urban Memphis area for the better part of the last decade. She brings her unique experience working with children of multicultural backgrounds and age groups of Memphis to a yoga practice she has created and tailored to the diverse needs of all children. Summer, a certified children's yoga teacher, is currently working towards obtaining her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis.

JK Creative Movement

Boys and girls will begin to explore yoga in this Creative Movement class! This practice will enhance development and motor skills by introducing basic concepts, movement and rhythms through simple, fun yoga pose activities. This class includes kid-friendly breathing and meditation exercises themed around magical and classic stories. Lego Club Jr. This one-of-a-kind Junior Lego Club will exercise your child's innate gift for building with weekly Lego challenges, guided free-build missions, and so much more! Service Learning The following Enrichment classes are being offered this spring as part of GSL’s ongoing commitment to service learning. We will use bunnies, eggs, baskets, and more to create the perfect card to put a smile on any child’s face! Design Thinking with LOVE in our hearts, hands and minds Using the Design Thinking framework, students will work together to determine what service learning project to do. Students will discuss the needs of people in and around our communities before deciding how to help. Next, students will determine what they can create and ultimately donate. Cheer, Tumbling & Stunting 1

Great for beginners! Work on front, back and side tumbling, including power preps, cartwheels, round-offs, limbers, walkovers, and hand springs. We will work on stunting skills that range from the assisted toe touch to double base elevators and cradle dismounts. Students should wear athletic attire with hair pulled back if needed. Book Club

Book Club Session 1 We will read “Because of Winn Dixie.” Each child will need to have his/her own copy of the book. This session is good for children reading on a 2.5 - 4.5 AR reading level or above. We will read and discuss the themes in the book and have some fun activities that tie in, too. Snacks provided. We will end the session by watching the movie and comparing it to the book.

Girls Who Code 2

Girls will participate in a variety of coding experiences such as fashion shows with coding on the catwalk, creating jewelry through coding, amazing robotic challenges, and more. The weekly sessions will enhance the girls' critical thinking skills and build their self-confidence in a positive and enthusiastic learning environment. Each week promises lots of sugar “coded” fun. Middle School Study Hall Middle School Study Hall is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during the spring semester. Study Hall is held in various middle school classrooms and is proctored by a middle school teacher. Students meet in Lass Hall and a snack is provided. When carpool is over, they will head to study hall. You can pick up on Lemaster in front of the middle school red doors at 4:30 p.m. or your child may go to ACE: After School. If a student is not registered, you will receive a drop-in fee for that day. ACE @ Play (formerly Holiday Care)

ACE @ Play provides students with a fun and safe environment on select days when students are off school. Previously known as “Holiday Care,” ACE @ Play is available to all GSL students. PK

What to Bring: Students will need to bring a lunch and snack. The cafeteria will not be open. Cost: $45/day ACE @ Play does not include students who are registered full time for ACE After School. Registration: Registration for ACE @ Play is managed through UltraCamp. Families must register in advance to avoid late fees. A late fee of $15 begins one week before the camp begins. Registration will close three days before the ACE @ Play date. Students must be registered to attend.

If an upcoming ACE @ Play date is not listed in UltraCamp, that means registration is closed.

ACE: Enrichment Policies

REGISTRATION UltraCamp is used to manage all registration and billing activity for ACE: Enrichment. An UltraCamp account with a card on file is required to register. Families new to UltraCamp will be taken through the process of creating a new user account. Advanced registration is required for each ACE: Enrichment offering. Classes are filled on a firstcome, first-served basis. Registration will remain open until a class is full or until the day before a class begins. Please enroll early. Confirmation of ACE: Enrichment reservations will be sent via email. Class times, dates, and locations can be found on UltraCamp or in this brochure. PAYMENT INFORMATION There are two options to pay for ACE :Enrichment classes: 1. Pay in full at the time of registration 2. Pay 50 percent at the time of registration; remaining balance must be paid in full three days before the class begins

GSL reserves the right to dismiss from the program (without refund) any student whose behavior becomes unmanageable. Students are not allowed to be unsupervised on campus at any time. Noon Dismissal kids may not stay till their enrichment class. This requires a drop in fee of $35. They may however leave and return at the enrichment class time. At the end of an Enrichment class, students should either be picked up or report to ACE: After School. There is no additional charge for students who are registered for ACE: After School full-time. All other students will be charged the daily drop-in fee of $15 through UltraCamp. Contact the ACE office at 901.590.6604 to cancel an ACE: Enrichment class in advance. A minimum of seven days notice must be given to receive a refund. No refunds will be given for students who are registered for more than one activity on a particular day/time. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure a student is not registered for overlapping classes. Enrichment classes will not meet on school half days or holidays. Classes with insufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation with a full credit to a family's UltraCamp account. Advance notice will be provided to those registered. The ACE office will not contact parents when a student is not in attendance. No refund will be given for a student who chooses not to attend classes or activities. All enrichment balances must be paid for the semester before new spring reservations can be made. All remaining account balances will be charged to the card on file on December 15, 2018 for the fall and May 15, 2019 for the spring.

ACE: After School (formerly After School Care)

ACE: After School provides a fun and safe environment for students after school from 3-6 p.m. on full days (2:25-6 p.m. on Wednesdays) and 12-5:30 p.m. on half days. REGISTRATION UltraCamp is used to manage all registration and billing activity for ACE: After School. An UltraCamp account with a card on file is required to register and to use the drop-in option at any time. A family new to UltraCamp will be taken through the process of creating a new user account. Once registered, a family is unable to change to the drop-in option until the following semeser.

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR ACE: AFTER SCHOOL PAYMENT INFORMATION ACE: After School is $1,800 for the 2018-19 school year.* There are three options to pay: 1. Pay the full amount of $1,800 at the time of registration 2. Pay $900 in August 2018 and $900 in January 2019 3. Pay $180 a month from August 2018 - May 2019 (charged on the 15th of each month) *For LL & PK students only, 3- and 4-days/week options are available. The cost for 3 days/week is $135/month or $675/semester; the cost for 4 days/week is $155/month or $775/semester. Drop-In The drop-in option is available to any family interested in utilizing ACE: After School on an as-needed basis. The dropin rate is $15 a day. Charges will be billed via UltraCamp between the 10th and 15th of the following month. For example: If a student uses the ACE :After School drop-in option on January 5, the charge will be billed between February 10-15. Drop in for Noon Dismissal students is $35 for 12-3 and then drop in rate $15 from 3-6. Please note if you are a noon dismissal child you may not stay for free till your afternoon enrichment class. LL-JK Full time $900 Semester 4 Days a week (must be set days each week) $775 a semester 3 Days a week (must be set days each week) $675 a semester Drop In $15 a day SK-8th Full Time $900 Semester Drop In $15 a day Changes to enrollment status may be changed at the beginning of each semester. The only change that can be made mid-semester is to add more care, not take it away. All ACE balances for the current semester must be paid before a student will be allowed to re-enroll for the following semester. All remaining account balances will be charged to the card on file on December 15, 2018 for the fall and May 15, 2019 for the spring.
