Happy New Year! I’m excited about what 2026 will bring for Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana. We have updated our strategic vision and priorities—focusing our work on more girls and families choosing Girl Scouts as the place to learn, grow, and connect. It’s going to be an amazing year!
We are operating in a world where external factors are providing significant uncertainty and disruption. This requires us to be nimble, adapt, and update how we support Girl Scouts and their families. This includes a continued focus on building our cultural competency and inclusivity. We want all girls who want to be Girl Scouts to have the opportunity. It also includes pursuing new ways girls can be Girl Scouts and building our Girl Scout community with intentionality that focuses on volunteer leadership development. You should expect to see an amazing Girl Scout cookie program as well as a
continued focus on raising additional dollars to support our mission. Thank you to each of you for your investment in Girl Scouts. You should also expect to see updated Girl Scout program pricing and for us to pursue new funding opportunities. Finally, you should expect to see our continued commitment to Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana. After converting the carriage house of her home into the first Girl Scout national headquarters, she gifted the property to Girl Scouts in her will.
