TheStatisticalConsultingUnit(SCU)isproudtoannouncetheformallaunchofthe2026-2027Federal StatisticalDataTrainingSeries.UnderanewlyfinalizedMemorandumofAgreementwiththeU.S. CensusBureau,GeorgiaSouthernUniversityhasbeendesignatedasalead"SouthernHub"withina nationalconsortiumofresearchinstitutions.

TheFacultyDevelopmentCommittee(FDC)isinvitingapplicationsfornominationtotheRegents’ TeachingExcellenceAwardforOnlineTeaching.Regents’TeachingExcellenceAwardforOnline Teachingrecognizesindividualfacultyandstaffforastrongcommitmenttoengagedonlineteaching andstudentsuccess.ThisisaUSG-levelaward,andtheFDCwillselecttheGeorgiaSouthernnominee fromthesubmittedapplications.TheFDCisadiversegroupwithrepresentativesfromeachacademic collegeandthelibraryandisassistedbytheDirectoroftheFacultyCenter.Thenominationportfolio willneedtopresentand/orexplainthenominee’scontributionssothatfacultymembersfromvarious anddiversedisciplinesunderstandtheirvalue.
