CELEBRATING THE JOURNEY
This November, on Thursday 27th, GRNSW celebrates International Men’s Day (IMD).
In 2025 the IMD campaign theme is ‘Celebrate’ - a global call to acknowledge the difference and impact men make in our world.
We will hear from leaders at all levels celebrating their journeys, their challenges, and their role models.
IMD originated in 1999, when Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, a history lecturer from Trinidad and Tobago, proposed a designated day to celebrate men's accomplishments and address critical issues.
Leaders at all levels face obstacles, disappointment, fear, reward and satisfaction. It’s acknowledging the hits and celebrating the wins. It’s leaning into fortitude and resilience needed through the journey. It’s seeking and celebrating role models that dust you off, speak words of wisdom, or challenge you when needed. If leading onesself, leading an organisation, or leading a Board, taking time out to celebrating is critical. Celebrating dedicates time to reflect, time to hone and grow, and time to remember the journey along the way is as important as the destination.
This day is dedicated to bringing forward topics in an aim to bring awareness about various issues that men face today and to celebrate a positive male image.
GRNSW prides itself on our unique balance of men and women represented across our organisation. Further, we are invested in the needs of both our female and male employees. We were pleased to host International Women’s Day in March this year, and equally pleased to be celebrating the men in our lives this coming November.

Adam Casselden – GRNSW Chair
Adam Casselden, Senior Counsel was appointed as Chair of GRNSW in 2023. In addition to being the Chair of GRNSW, Adam also extends his investment in GRNSW through his roles across the Remuneration, Legal, Finance and Risk, Track and Infrastructure, and Animal Welfare Committees.
Adam advises and appears in the areas of Commercial Law, Common Law and Transportation Law. He is highly regarded in Inquests and Sports Law. Adam appears in the Supreme Court, the Federal Court, the District Court, the Coroner’s Court and various Tribunals. Adam’s clients have included Australia’s leading Banks and Insurers, State and Commonwealth Departments and Agencies, ASX-listed Companies, Domestic and International Shipping Lines and Airlines, and Small to Medium Enterprises. In the field of Coronial Law, Adam appears as Counsel Assisting the Coroner in complex and high-profile Inquests. Adam also appears in the Coroner’s Court for interested parties, including for Families and Government Departments.
Greg Johnson - GRNSW Board
Greg Johnson joined the GRNSW Board in 2023. Greg also acts as Chair of our Finance and Risk Committee, is a member of the Track, Racing and Infrastructure Committee.
Greg has more than 30 years of experience in the funds management industry. He has held senior Capital Raising and client relationship roles at Macquarie, Perpetual, and Dimensional, and has led Operations and Client Service teams at Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and Macquarie Funds Management. From 2011 to 2019 he was a partner in Apostle Funds Management, and more recently assisted a Sydney-based Funds Manager with their efforts in the Institutional market on a part-time basis.
Greg is an experienced Director, and has served as an Executive Director of Apostle Funds Management and a Non-Executive Chairman of ASX-listed Gladiator Resources. He is currently a Non-Executive Director for the South Sydney Rabbitohs MemberCo and Greyhound Racing New South Wales, and is also on the Board of ASX-listed Mayfield Childcare. He has received Directorship qualifications with and is an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Kevin Gordon - GRNSW Board
Kevin Gordon was appointed the Board of GRNSW to 2019. In addition to being a Board member, Kevin, is also the Chair of the Track, Racing and Infrastructure Committee, as well as the Chair of the Animal Welfare Committee.
Kevin is a strong and seasoned professional, coupled with a keen interest and passion unique to the industry the racing code of NSW. He is a proven commercial operator, establishing and successfully running an Australian-based manufacturing enterprise. Kevin has a strong commitment to governance, industry integrity, and the continued development of a sustainable greyhound racing sector in New South Wales. He plays an active role in strengthening the industry’s social license by fostering positive community engagement and demonstrating the sport’s commitment to meaningful social contribution.
