Hardwicke Circus Carlisle A colour transformation on one of the busiest roundabouts in Carlisle has revitalised the area and turned it into a huge success. Two years ago local artists and members of the public submitted their artwork and designs. But two local artists were chosen, Rosemary Cunningham and Paul Leith. The brightly coloured murals have transformed the previously lacklustre designs and now the underpasses leading from Hardwicke Circus to Bitts Park and the Sands Centre is a much more appealing and welcoming area. The locals and visitors are a main focus in the park and contribute a lot to it.
