Ever since we opened our first cafe in 199, we have been dedicated to two things: creating the very finest handcrafted Italian coffee and providing a warm and relaxing atmosphere in which to enjoy it. At the very heart of all our coffee is perfectly prepared expresso, made from our secret blend. Our coffee making process begins with our dedicated coffee team meticulously selecting coffee beans of the highest quality, then slow roasting them in a traditional fashion using Italian roasters. We blend together seven different beans during our roasting process, ultimately producing our distinctive signature house blend which delivers complex yet full and smooth flavour. The end result is a rich and full bodied coffee- very satisfying and comforting. We also take pride and care in how our special blend is prepared for you in store.
Our ‘black shirt’ baristas (coffee makers) undergo weeks of intensive coffee training before they can serve you. They attend our in-house coffee school and serve a practical apprenticeship, until they pass an advanced coffee making test to earn their own ‘black shirt’. Working with the best traditional Italian coffee machines, our expert baristas ensure that every shot of freshly ground expresso is poured to perfection. Its a labour of lovethroughout the day, they check the quality of their expresso and make sure the thick, aromatic crema on top is exactly the right hazelnut colour and tastes consistently good.
