introduction The world is filled with weird and fascinating places which are yet to be discovered. However, we discovered one; well not exactly, but what we did find, blew our minds. It is rare sometimes to find places that very few people know about or have heard of. We hope to show you the beautiful side of Carlisle!
life’s a beach Who would’ve thought there would be a beach in Carlisle?! Not only is it a beach (of some kind) it is literally ten minutes from the Carlisle town centre. So anyone can walk and visit this staggering place.
Location As stated the ‘beach’ is located just outside of the Carlisle town centre and takes no more than ten minutes to walk there on foot. Rickerby Park can lead you straight here as well as the Carlisle Cricket ground. Follow the lake underneath the Eden bridge and you’ll find the Carlisle beach!
into the forest From the beach to the forest. A wide range of wildlife and plants surround the area. Our collection of high quality images should give a sense of what this place can offer, and yet again it is still strange to think that this place is in Carlisle! This place also offers it’s fair share of insects!

life.
Bugs are disgusting. They’re vile, and all they do is get in our way and frighten us. Whether it’s spiders, wasps, stick insects, whatever the bug maybe, they’re terrifying; to some... Either way, if you look past the scary shell on the outside these insects can be seen as being beautiful and macro photography gives us this chance to explore the beauty of insects.

There is a major difference between the forest/beach to the town center of Carlisle. For one, there is an awful lack of colour and the place doesn’t seem to have as much life and spirit as the forest/beach. Wildlife and plants are seen within the forest/beach were as in the town centre not much is happening. It’s quite miserable.
