Keynote: Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea We look forward to welcoming Secretary Gorbea as keynote speaker and official citation presenter. Secretary Gorbea made history as the first Hispanic elected to statewide office in New England. In 2018, Secretary Gorbea launched a new online Business Assistant to make it easier for entrepreneurs to start businesses in the state and continues to streamline processes in the Business Services Division.
Event Emcee: Chamber Board of Directors Vice-Chair, Adam Thayer Esq., Sayer, Regan & Thayer, LLP Adam Thayer is a local attorney licensed to practice law in RI, MA, & CT. He is a lifelong resident of RI with his primary office located in downtown Newport. In addition to representing a number of local businesses, Adam also volunteers on the boards of area nonprofits, such as the Rose Island Lighthouse Foundation, Looking Upwards, and the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.
